BRAS DDP Clinical Fellow 2017 – 2019
ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award 2019

My 2-year clinical fellowship at the BRAS New Drug Development Program, at Princess Cancer Centre, has been an invaluable training experience. It has maximized my skills and provided me with the tools to become an independent investigator and translational researcher in the field of oncology, and particularly in experimental therapeutics.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Lillian Siu and Dr. Anna Spreafico, I have been involved in the conception and development of many ongoing phase l clinical protocols, and biomarker correlative studies in the field of immune oncology.  In all these projects, I have been given the opportunity to actively coordinate the workflow and the patients’ recruitment, as well as participating in protocol-related decisions, collaborating with immunology and genomics laboratory teams.

Beyond the expertise I gained, my work at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre has led to multiple communications in several international oncology meetings and publications in peer-review journals with high impact factor.  It allowed me to be awarded with competitive grants such as the ASCO Conquer Cancer Foundation Young Investigator Award 2019!

Besides the professional accomplishments, being part of the BRAS DDP family has given me the chance to learn and grow, along with many dedicated and generous professionals, including oncologists, nurses, coordinators, correlative teams, and the list goes on.  This personal experience adds-on the gained expertise and will help me develop further team leadership skills.
